LEFT BANK LEEDS wedding - EMMA & RIK - 23RD MARCH 2019

Introducing the first wedding of 2019! Left Bank in Leeds has gone straight into my list of favourite Yorkshire wedding venues… I mean, look at it.

Emma & Rik got married in the afternoon at St James’s Church in Horsforth before heading over to Left Bank on a vintage bus. Emma had six bridesmaids who all looked an absolute picture in gorgeous dusky pink tulle floor length skirts and mis-matched white lace tops. Emma’s dress was actually one I had my eye on for my own wedding, but it had sold out! (Ted Baker, in case you’re interested…) After the church ceremony, we hung back for a little while after the guests had walked ahead so that we could use the church as a backdrop for a few family & group shots.

After arriving and Left Bank, everyone cracked on with a good bit of post-ceremony mingling and the kids had their first round on the bouncy castle. A DISNEY bouncy castle no less… A TOY STORY DISNEY bouncy castle, I tell ya. I then grabbed Emma & Rik for a few portraits before we headed back inside for speeches. There were quite a few tears! The amazing food was provided by Smokin’ Blues, a great street food caterer for weddings in Yorkshire. Check them out if that’s the sort of thing you’re after!

Emma & Rik are both huge book lovers, and I LOVED that each of their wedding guests had a different novel as a place setting for the meal, along with their own bookmark. So cool! The tables were set out in rows, banquet style. After the speeches and just before they ate, it occurred to me that we should probably do some bouncy castle portraits! Rather than after they’d eaten… because y’know. Vom.

The rest of the night went off without a hitch. The band played and everybody danced the night away, and as usual, I couldn’t tear myself away from a busy wedding dance floor!
