a garden wedding in leeds
Yet another mega fun wedding hitting the blog! This time it's Emma & John. The whole wedding was held at John's family home in Garforth, Leeds. The reception took place in an awesome Yorkshire Yurts marquee after a humanist ceremony in the garden, where the guests made themselves comfy on hay bales! You could see how much effort had gone into the detail, from the polaroids on the tables to the bunting hanging everywhere, even on the sign at the end of the road directing people in.
Emma & John's family & friends were a joy to hang out with for the day, but one thing I really loved about this wedding was seeing how close Emma is with her dad. They didn't stop laughing and joking the whole day through, he broke down in tears when he saw her in her wedding dress, took his "toast" literally (you'll see...), and their dance floor antics were immense!
I noticed a couple of confetti cannons on the sofa in the house while the girls were getting ready in the morning, and as they didn't have a specific time in mind to set them off, I suggested they used them during the first dance which worked a treat... any excuse to inject even more colour into a scene!
Thoroughly enjoyed this wedding from start to finish, and high fives & chest bumps to Ellie Harrison for being my wing woman for the day!
Big ups to the following suppliers:
