1o wedding street food caterers in yorkshire

I've seen street food catering at weddings growing in popularity at a rate of knots. And why not?! It's fuss free, easy, laid back and SO tasty. And you can pretty much get any sort of food you fancy. Street food on your wedding day is one of the easiest ways to feed your guests and people can have as much or as little as they want. Here's a list of some of Yorkshire's finest street food caterers! I hope you've eaten because you're about to get food envy. In no particular order as always...

These guys are based in York. They love their American BBQ food 'prepared low and slow' as it is in the southern states. They say "we have tried to provide an alternative to the formal and sometimes stuffy traditional wedding catering. Our flexible menu aims to combine the world of street food where we began with more refined and creative cooking using only the best locally and ethically sourced ingredients." They provide everything from sit down meals on wooden boards to chilled out street food. All their meat is locally sourced in Yorkshire. They also say they are "passionate about building a sustainable and environmentally responsible business.  All our packaging is recycled and biodegradable. We try to reduce food waste wherever we can and keep the travelling distance of our supplies as low as possible." I couldn't spot their food hygiene rating.

BEAR'S PANTRY LEEDS WEDDING STREET FOOD

These guys offer a wide range of different services, all of which are very cool! The main company is Bear's Pantry. They cater for weddings by serving the food up 'family dining style' which basically means they put a huge platter of food in the middle of each table and let everyone dig in. They also do food for later in the evening. The street food side of their biz is Beer & Bear. Their website says "Beer & Bear by Bears Pantry focuses on providing a unique street food concept that uses beer as the base ingredient. We also host beer and food pairing evenings from our own den and breweries. This brings together beers of depth and character with food that has big gutsy flavours. This match brings an exciting new take onto the explosive UK street food scene." They use real ale and craft beers and are based in Leeds. 5 star food hygiene rating. Check them out HERE.

This is a great gluten free option. Their website says "Our Taco’s are naturally gluten free as they are made from corn, they are soft, healthy and delicious and therefore a lot of our menu is suitable for people with gluten intolerances." 10. THE MARKET WRAPS ALLOTMENT - LEEDS

***UPDATE: After sharing this blog post, someone kindly got in touch and told me that Carl Denning who owned Market Wraps, sadly passed away last year after a battle with cancer. I'm not sure whether Carl's husband Rob will eventually continue with the business but my thoughts go out to his family and I'll be leaving Market Wraps in this post to show what a beautiful business Carl ran! Read Pancreatic Cancer Action's dedication to Carl.***

At the time of writing this it seems that the Market Wraps website is down, so I've gathered as much info as I can from their Facebook page! Well first of all how incredible does their street food van look?! That is one fiiiine looking trailer to have at your wedding! But I would say that because I'm obsessed with fairy lights. Not surprisingly, they won the 2016 best looking street food mobile from the British Street Food Awards. They use the best local butchers, farmers, grocers in the area as they're committed to supporting local businesses. They also serve the now hugely popular Yorkshire pudding wrap and I can see from their photo album that they do poached belly pork served on buttered mash with Yorkshire cider and apple sauce, hand made relish and lots more... omg yum. Couldn't spot the food hygiene rating. Check them out HERE!

And finally, if you love street food and movies and you haven't seen Chef... go and watch it right this instant!
